I have been writing about popular music ever since I bought my first copy of Rolling Stone magazine over 30 years ago when I was a teenager. Since then I have covered popular music for Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Newsweek, Billboard, Pitchfork, Time Out New York, Paste, The Quietus, and many other outlets. I really enjoy talking to artists and learning about the stories behind their music and craft. I was born and raised in New York City, and it's where you may find me checking out a show at any given night.
