I am a Beijing-based journalist writing about trade, manufacturing and supply chains in China. I have been a China correspondent for the past five years, exploring the many ways in which politics, business and human rights intersect in the world’s second-largest economy. I earned my master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia on a Fulbright scholarship, and before moving to Beijing, I covered local politics at The Oregonian, in Portland, Ore. My work has appeared in The Washington Post, The Guardian and Foreign Policy, among other publications.
