Brittney Nanton is a New York City native who is a recent graduate of Brandeis University with a major in African & African American studies. Brittney is a music and cultural journalist and her content can be found in other publications such as Blk Girl Culture and The Brandeis Hoot. As a music journalist, Brittney's work specializes in Black women performers, hip-hop, race, gender, television/film, and Black culture. Brittney is dedicated to critically analysing popular culture and it's intersections with race/gender, along with amplifying the voices of those underrepresented in the music industry.
