I am the Harold H. Greene Professor of Law at George Washington University Law School. My beat is gender equity in the workplace, with a particular emphasis on economic inequality and family roles, and I’ve done tons of research and writing on these issues. I have published ten books with presses ranging from Oxford University Press to Avery, and have co-authored textbooks in family law and trusts and estates. With June Carbone, I have co-authored two books: "Red Families v. Blue Families: Legal Polarization and the Creation of Culture" (2010) and "Marriage Markets: How Inequality is Remaking the American Family" (2014). My most recent project focuses on why women are losing in the workplace. Before joining the GW faculty, I litigated sex discrimination cases. I lived in the Congo for two years and was the secretary of the International Women’s Club of Kinshasa.
