Timothy P. Beyer, CFA is a contributing writer covering all things value investing. Tim has more than 30 years of experience in institutional portfolio management and research. He previously managed over $3 billion in equity assets as a senior portfolio manager at Sterling Capital Management, and prior to that managed equity funds at Invesco and USAA. His expertise spans fundamental equity analysis and research, detailed valuation modeling, corporate strategy, capital allocation, risk management, portfolio construction, and corporate governance issues. Beyer is a CFA charterholder who has received prestigious industry honors, including Lipper performance awards, and previously served on the CFA Institute's Council of Examiners.
