I reside in the Los Angeles area with Jennie, my wife of 35 years. I am 65 and I have worked in commercial real estate for 38 years. I attended the University of Washington as an undergraduate and later the University of Southern California where I received a masters degree in Business Administration. I have pursued athletics and athletic activities since I was young. I first fell in love with the Olympic Games in 1968 as a 9-year old boy. From that moment I thought competing for one's country was the highest honor for an athlete. In high school I trained in swimming on the same club with Olympian Rick Colella bronze medalist in 1976. In college I rowed at the University of Washington with Olympian Charlie Clapp silver medalist in 1984. I saw firsthand the talent and sacrifice it took to make an Olympic team and/or medal. I love stories and I decided a long time ago the Olympics were a storyteller's dream.
