As the Founder and CEO of Financial Profiles, I lead a strategic communications advisory firm that helps companies – from emerging growth businesses to established corporate leaders – sharpen their story and build credibility and interest with the audiences that matter most. For public companies, that often means developing clear and credible investor narratives, enhancing engagement with Wall Street and the media, and reinforcing market confidence. For private companies, it often means building value-based narratives and raising visibility to support growth, talent, acquisitions or a liquidity event. We are frequently engaged for integrated investor relations and public relations programs, and to support communications for specific stakeholders – employees, customers, partners and others. Our work includes advising companies on valuation gaps, capital markets strategy, board shareholder engagement, proxy communications as well as high-stakes situations such as M&A transactions, IPOs, crises and reputation challenges. I frequently speak and write on issues at the intersection of communications, capital markets and governance, including forums hosted by the NYSE, Nasdaq, CFA Institute, NIRI, NAREIT and NACD. My articles and commentary have appeared in Forbes, CFO Magazine, IR Magazine and other outlets. I have served on several boards and currently serve on the board of the Pacific Southwest Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. I have also been recognized by NACD as a D100™ governance professional and by Business Insider as a top PR pro for IPOs. At the core of my work is a simple belief: communication done well creates value, reduces risk and strengthens trust with key stakeholders. That belief has guided my work with management teams and boards for many years and has never been more relevant than in today’s environment where trust, reputation and market confidence can shift quickly.
