Dr. Christoph Knitter is the founder and managing director of Knitter & Associates, a strategy and transformation consultancy headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany. He advises CEOs, executive boards, and senior leadership teams of Fortune 500 corporations, global enterprises, and owner-managed mid-sized companies on strategy, transformation, turnarounds, and M&A. His work focuses on a recurring management challenge: translating strategic ambition into decisions, organizational change, and measurable business results. Christoph combines the analytical rigour of top-tier consulting with hands-on responsibility for execution. He works alongside leadership teams from the initial diagnosis and strategic direction through governance, implementation, and the point at which results become visible and sustainable. Over more than 15 years, he has worked across over 14 industries. His professional background includes Transaction Advisory and Strategy Consulting at EY, responsibility for Germany’s largest defence procurement programme for the Federal Ministry of Defence, and the management of a global compliance and culture transformation across 20 entities in 12 countries following the diesel emissions crisis. Christoph holds a PhD in Strategic Management and an MBA and has completed executive education programmes at Harvard Business School and the Wharton School. He is a certified supervisory board member, a Senator of the European Economic Senate, and a visiting professor at universities in Germany and China.
