For more than 18 years, Alia has advised multinational groups, family businesses, investors, trusts, foundations, and privately held enterprises on taxation, corporate structuring, international expansion, business setup and market entry strategies across the UAE, GCC, Malaysia, and Indonesia, together with business valuations, feasibility studies, and a broad range of cross-border business and investment matters. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (FCMA), holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK, and an MBA in Finance. Her professional credentials further include the ICA/MOET Certificate in AML/CFT for DNFBPs awarded by the International Compliance Association (ICA), UK, the COSO Certified Professional designation awarded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Oxford FinTech Programme certification from the University of Oxford and specialized certifications in UAE Taxation and International Taxation from PwC Academy. Beyond taxation and compliance advisory, Alia has supported boards, business owners, and executive leadership teams in strengthening governance frameworks, risk oversight, performance management systems, management reporting, and strategic decision-making, helping organizations align operational execution with long-term business objectives.
