James Langabeer, PhD is an executive advisor, entrepreneur, researcher, and professor who helps leaders navigate complex strategic decisions involving growth, innovation, organizational performance, and value creation. Over a career spanning healthcare, technology, finance, and academic medicine, he has led organizations, launched companies, secured major research funding, advised executives and investors, and developed innovative programs that have improved healthcare delivery and outcomes across the United States. Dr. Langabeer currently serves as Executive Director and tenured full Professor at UTHealth Houston, one of the nation's leading academic medical centers. His work has generated more than $75 million in research funding and contributed to nationally recognized initiatives in cardiovascular care, emergency medicine, addiction recovery, digital health, and healthcare transformation. His advisory work focuses on helping executives, boards, entrepreneurs, investors, and healthcare organizations address critical questions involving strategy, growth, innovation, organizational effectiveness, financial performance, and leadership decision-making. He is the author of eight books and more than 150 peer-reviewed publications. His work and commentary have been featured in Forbes, NPR, NBC News, ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, Success Magazine, Texas Monthly, and other national media outlets. Dr. Langabeer earned a PhD in Management Science from Lancaster University (England). He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
