Dwayne J. Clark is the Founder, CEO and Chairman of Aegis Living. Dwayne is nationally known for transforming the senior living industry – from innovative, programmatic design of senior living communities to novel approaches with employee engagement and retention. In more recent years, he has made his mark as a longevity expert and best-selling author of the book, 30 Summers More. When Dwayne founded Aegis Living in 1997, he recognized an industry that had great potential and intentions but was ultimately failing older adults. He coupled his personal experience with best practices from world-class companies such as Costco, Nordstrom, and Starbucks to create a new model for senior assisted living, redefining the full life experience you can have well into your later years. He grew Aegis Living from a concept to a company that now has nearly $250 million in annual operating revenues, 2,400+ staff members, 33 communities, and eight additional properties in development. Dwayne is the founder of True Productions and produced multiple documentaries to help drive awareness and social change, including one about NBA legend Spencer Haywood, “Full Court: The Spencer Haywood Story.” Dwayne came from humble beginnings and remains dedicated to helping others. He supports more than 70 local and global charities and has founded five of his own, including: The Potato Soup Foundation, The Queen Bee Cafes, The D-One Foundation, The Clark Family Foundation, and The March for Civility.
