I am CEO of GRAIL, a company that is looking to reimagine the research office in institutions of higher education with AI. I also hold appointments as a research associate professor and principal scientist at the University of Southern California. I have expertise in Artificial Intelligence and have been funded in my research by DARPA, NIH, Toyota, Kaiser Permanente, among many others. I have written four books, including an MIT Press graduate textbook on AI, and my work has appeared in press outlets like The Conversation, Popular Science, Big Think and Chosun Economy.
