Tavares Beverly is the President and CEO of Beverly Boy Productions, a global full-service video production company he co-founded from the ground up and has grown over more than 25 years into one of the most sought-after production firms in the industry. With operations spanning major cities across the U.S. and internationally, Beverly Boy Productions produces multiple film projects each week for clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies, including brands such as Airbnb, W Hotels, Taco Bell, GEICO, and Target. Beverly’s path to the top of the industry was built from the ground up, literally. His career in video production began with a local Chicago television show in his youth, followed by theatrical training in high school and a musical theater production scholarship to Florida Memorial University. He went on to work in nearly every role on a professional set, including actor, production assistant, camera operator, and sound technician, developing a full-spectrum understanding of production that continues to inform his leadership today. Beverly Boy Productions was born out of a defining entrepreneurial moment. On Christmas Day 2001, while others exchanged traditional gifts, Beverly presented a handwritten business plan outlining his vision for an umbrella brand, Beverly Boy Industries, a family-driven portfolio spanning real estate, apparel, publishing, and production. His older brother Kael immediately believed in the production arm of that vision and, weeks later, purchased the company’s first professional camera for $1,500 from a Circuit City in Los Angeles. In 2002, Beverly Boy Productions officially launched in downtown Miami, initially serving regional TV commercial clients throughout South Florida. The company’s growth was driven by reputation, resilience, and a sharp instinct for opportunity. During the 2008 economic downturn, Beverly navigated the business through a challenging period by prioritizing sustainability, protecting his team, and maintaining a long-term outlook. As the market rebounded, the company expanded into reality television production, opening doors to partnerships and crews across major U.S. cities. By 2012, a major multi-city agency contract accelerated the company’s national footprint, establishing Beverly Boy Productions as a scalable production solution for clients requiring consistent execution across multiple locations. Alongside his lifelong commitment to the arts, Beverly actively mentors emerging filmmakers, regularly hosting workshops and participating in career development programs at schools across South Florida. He has supported scholarship initiatives for high school students pursuing careers in film and media, helping provide access and opportunity for the next generation of industry professionals. He also channels his experience into educational content through the BeverlyBoy.com blog, where he shares insights on video production, industry trends, and the business of building a sustainable career in film.
