Andreas Schweitzer is the Managing Director of London-based Arjan Capital Ltd. We are a trade and corporate advisory firm specialising in factoring, supply chain financing, and payment mechanisms where banks may not assist. Schweitzer also founded AFA Trade Invest, an EU-regulated Trade finance investment company for invoice discounting and short-term supply chain financing. As a Wall Street Journal best-selling author, Schweitzer's latest book, the 2nd edition of Trade Works was published in 2025. Underpinned by deep research from a multinational team, Trade Works shares insights from Schweitzer's extensive global trade history and provides financially interested readers with a deeper understanding of why trade finance is such an attractive asset class. Schweitzer previously brought the first global M&A boutiques to Central Asia and created a USD 200M market-timing fund. Furthermore, he held management positions at Jacobs Suchard (now Kraft Foods Schweiz AG), working in Switzerland, the UK, Panama, and France after starting his career in banking at Bank A. Sarasin & Cie, now J. Safra Sarasin. Since 1997, Schweitzer has been an active member of the Young Presidents' Organisation (YPO) and was named Honorary Senator of the German Senate for Economy and Technology (WBA, Bundessenat für Wirtschaft und Technologie) in 2015. He is a Knight of the House of Habsburg Order of St. George.
