As CEO of MPPL Financial, Scott leads a SEC Registered Investment Advisory firm that operates in four locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Scott Wallschlaeger quite literally has financial planning in his blood and is proud to be a math nerd. As the son of one of the earliest fee-based financial planners, Scott grew up inside this industry. He actually got a work permit at 12 years old and spent much of his youth learning the ropes. It came as no surprise when Scott earned a degree in finance and started as a financial advisor right out of school. Scott has used his many years of experience and lessons learned as a financial advisor to become MPPL’s CEO, leading its management team while also advising a select group of clients across the firm's markets because his quest to help people and businesses achieve their dreams through strategic financial planning is unending. Scott is proud of his work and dedicated to his clients, which is evident in each and every client interaction. Scott’s passion is contagious, and he lives it in every aspect of his life. When he’s not building MPPL or working directly with clients, he’s stewarding the next generation of financial planners. Scott fell in love with Duluth and the north shore during college, and he never left. He and his family enjoy long walks with their dog along the shores of Lake Superior, searching for agates, skipping rocks, fishing and often braving the cold waters of Gitche Gumme. Scott is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, (CFP®) and a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist℠ (CRPS®).
