Renana Ashkenazi is a Managing Partner at Grove Ventures, where she leads early-stage investments in deep technology, vertical AI, and next-generation infrastructure. Before venture capital, she spent over 15 years in engineering and product leadership at Applied Materials and Northwestern University’s Center for Innovation in Global Health Technologies. She writes about AI innovation through the lens of infrastructure, investment, and the technology layers most people don’t see — but everyone depends on. Ashkenazi holds a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MSc in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.
