Brian C. Castrucci, DrPH, MA, is the president and chief executive officer of the de Beaumont Foundation, a leading voice in health philanthropy and public health. An award-winning epidemiologist with 10 years of experience working in the health departments of Philadelphia, Texas, and Georgia, Brian has co-edited eight books and authored more than 90 articles in the areas of public health systems and services, maternal and child health, health promotion, chronic disease prevention, and health communication. He earned a Doctorate in Public Health Leadership at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts degree in sociomedical sciences from Columbia University. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from North Carolina State University.
