Bailey Berg is a writer and editor who splits her time between Colorado and Alaska. She previously served as the Associate Travel News Editor at Afar (where she still works as a frequent contributor) and is the author of “Secret Alaska: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure.” A former newspaper reporter turned freelance writer, she’s covered a wide range of topics over the years, though she currently specializes in travel and is most passionate about stories that share how it can be used for good—for people, animals and the planet.
