Wendy Altschuler is a travel and adventure writer and author, focusing on destinations across the globe. Her work may be found in major magazines, newspapers, and digital publications. Her book, Perfect Day Chicago, which highlights the Windy City’s diverse neighborhoods, was just published. Altschuler cut her teeth on the agency side as an itinerary writer for a boutique luxury travel company before moving into the freelancing world, where her words appeared in print for the Chicago Sun-Times and Pioneer Press and a digital column titled, “Wendy City Mom”. Altschuler has been a guest travel expert on WGN, CBS, and WLS news and radio stations; a thought leader, panelist, podcast guest, and presenter on travel and travel writing; and a trusted resource for intrepid travelers. She graduated with High Honors from DePaul University with degrees in Women’s and Gender Studies and Anthropology.
