Demetri Giannikopoulos is the Chief Innovation Officer at Rad AI, where he leads efforts to advance responsible, human-centered adoption of artificial intelligence in medicine. His career spans leadership roles guiding AI deployment across radiology, cardiology, and critical care, including his prior position as Chief Transformation Officer at Aidoc. His work focuses on aligning innovation with clinical quality, safety, and the lived experience of patients.Demetri contributes to national AI governance and standards through the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) and the BRIDGE guidelines, developed in collaboration with experts from NVIDIA, leading health systems, and academia to strengthen transparency and explainability in clinical AI. He also served on URAC’s Health Care AI Advisory Committee, helping develop the nation’s first AI accreditation and credentialing framework.He additionally serves on the ACR Patient and Family Centered Care Quality Experience Committee and as a PCORI Ambassador, reflecting his commitment to building trustworthy, patient-centered AI.
