As the co-founder and CEO of Pleo, I have been building a company that solves a pain point I experienced as a former CFO: the hassle of centralised spending, procurement teams, and outdated tools. Pleo offers smart company credit cards that automate expense reports for businesses across most of Europe, enabling them to delegate, track, and manage their spending with ease and efficiency. In the past eight years, I have led Pleo to a hyper growth stage, with around 900 employees, 60+ nationalities, and distributed teams across 20 markets. Our hard work and dedication have been recognised by our investors, who have supported us with almost $500m and valued us at $4.7bn in the end of 2021, and by international awards such as EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Global Startup of the Year, Fintech of the Year, and Pioneer of the Year. I have also been listed on the Nordic 100's most impactful and influential figures in the Nordic tech scene. Besides building Pleo, I am passionate about fintech, startups, venture capital, and early stage funding. I am an angel investor in startups in Europe and US focused on business software and fintech, an advisor to private equity funds and portfolio companies, and a speaker at international conferences on payments, accounting, fintech, and digital innovation.
