Carrie Brandon Elliot is a contributing editor with Tax Notes. She produces analyses on current issues to capture public interest and stimulate discussion. Before joining Tax Notes in 2017, she was an associate attorney for Vinson & Elkins LLP in Houston, an associate attorney for Roberts & Holland LLP in New York, and vice president of tax operations at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. Carrie is a member of the Texas, New York, and District of Columbia bars. She is also a CPA and a certified fraud examiner. Carrie has a BA in economics from Bellarmine University, a JD from Vanderbilt Law School, and an LLM in taxation from New York University School of Law.
