Michelle Travis is a Research Professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she directed USF’s Work Law and Justice Program. She joined Forbes in 2024 to cover leadership strategies for building equitable and inclusive workplaces. Travis has highlighted cutting-edge research on women’s leadership, male allyship, disability inclusion, menopause discrimination, employee benefits, paternity leave, and motherhood bias. Travis is the author of the award-winning book, Dads For Daughters, a guide for men to become gender equity advocates in their workplaces. She has also written a children’s picture book, My Mom Has Two Jobs, which has garnered national recognition for its celebration of working moms. Travis is a founding member of the Work and Family Researchers Network, which supports global research on work/family integration.
