Julian La Picque is a Swiss and French citizen born in 1987 with over 15 years of experience in financial services and management consulting in the USA, Europe, and Asia. He has end-to-end expertise in leading strategic ventures and focuses on M&A and Investments in the blockchain and crypto industries. Since mid 2022, Julian is the CFO of Chiliz, the leading blockchain provider for the global sports industry, creator of Fan Tokens and the Socios.com platform, Based in Zug – Switzerland, he is responsible for driving and executing the overall financial strategy of the Group of companies (300+ FTEs across 15 legal entities). Prior to joining Chiliz, Julian was the CFO of Covantis, a global enterprise blockchain platform created as an independent joint-venture from the largest agricultural commodity trading companies worldwide (ADM, Bunge, Cargill, LDC, Glencore, Cofco). As a founding executive he was responsible for leading multiple rounds of Serie A financing which valued the platform at above USD 100mio. In 2018, Julian co-founded Uncrypted, a consultancy specialized in advising public organizations and Fortune 500 companies on how to unlock their web3 potential through digital transformation and the creation of new digital assets verticals. Julian is a Board Member of the Crypto Valley Association (CVA), a Swiss independent non-governmental association fostering the growth of the global blockchain economy since 2017. The association is recognized as a world leading crypto institution with over 1500 corporate and professional members providing thought leadership to the global web3 ecosystem. He is also an investor and advisor in Web3 companies and a limited partner in tech related funds as well as a lecturer in leading international universities (ETH Zurich, HEG Geneva, IUM Monaco).
