Steven Wolfe Pereira is the CEO and Founder of Alpha, the leading independent AI governance intelligence firm for board directors and C-suite executives. With over 25 years working at the intersection of technology, marketing, and finance, Steven’s experience spans both sides of the boardroom table. As an operator, Steven served as Chief Marketing Officer at Datalogix (acquired by Oracle, $1.2B), Neustar (acquired by Golden Gate Capital, $3B), and Quantcast, leveraging data, machine learning, and AI before most of his peers. His executive leadership spans Publicis Groupe and TelevisaUnivision, and he co-founded Encantos, an award-winning edtech company. He began his career in private equity at Blackstone Group and Salomon Smith Barney, then joined Akamai Technologies in 1999 as part of their network infrastructure engineering group. As a director, Steven serves on the boards of Save the Children, Latino Community Foundation, and Whalar. It was in the boardroom that he saw the pattern: directors wanted to govern AI effectively but lacked decision-ready frameworks that fit their existing committee structures and meeting cadences. That gap led him to found Alpha. Through its peer membership network, governance research, strategic advisory, and AI intelligence platform, Alpha equips directors and executives with practical tools, not theoretical guidance, to turn AI governance into a competitive advantage. Steven’s insights have been featured in major business publications including Adweek, Fast Company, Forbes, Fortune, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. LinkedIn named him a Top Voice, and he contributes to Forbes on AI. A Fulbright Scholar, he holds a BA from Tufts University, Executive MBA from MIT Sloan, and completed the Stanford Directors’ Consortium.
