I’ve been leading learning – specifically in public and higher education, organizational development, workforce development, and leadership coaching – for more than 20 years. Today, I help learners become their best selves, acquiring some of the hottest skills in today’s workplace – including AI skills. I serve as the Chief Learning Officer at General Assembly (a subsidiary of The Adecco Group, one of the world’s largest staffing companies). In this capacity, I lead our incredible instructors, learning designers, internal trainers and Future Skills Boards. I have also held leadership positions at Universal Technical Institute, Western Governors University, Macmillan Learning, and Pearson and taught at Maricopa Community Colleges and the University of Wisconsin. I am an official member of the Forbes Human Resources Council and am affiliated with i-NACOL, Quality Matters, U.S.D.L.A., and the American Council on Education. I’m the author of “Already Smarter: Simple Strategies for Effective Learning” an accessible, actionable book for anyone who wants to learn more – and more effectively. And I’m the co-editor of “Supporting Self-Regulated Learning and Student Success in Online Courses” a compilation of research from scholars and practitioners around the world about how we learn online.
