A pioneering social entrepreneur, Rajiv Vinnakota serves as president of the Institute for Citizens & Scholars, an organization that equips young people with the civic skills necessary to navigate a divided country and become effective leaders. Prior to joining the Institute of Citizens & Scholars in 2019, he served as executive vice president of the Youth & Engagement division at the Aspen Institute. For 18 years, he was cofounder and CEO of the Seed Foundation, the first network of public college-preparatory boarding schools in the nation for underserved students. His work has earned him fellowships from Echoing Green, Ashoka Foundation, and the Aspen Institute, as well as awards including the Princeton University Woodrow Wilson Award, the Harvard Innovation in American Government Award, and the Oprah Winfrey Use Your Life Award. He serves on the boards of Enovis Corporation and ESAB and is a former trustee and national annual giving chair for Princeton University.
