Bobby Magee is the founder and CEO of Escalera Capital, a vertically integrated private equity firm investing across hospitality, industrial, retail, medical office, and experiential real estate, along with the operating companies that power them, from hotel management to data software and property services. Since launching in March 2020, Bobby has expanded Escalera into a multi-sector platform delivering a 47% realized IRR and 2.4x MOIC, now supported by more than 800 employees across its subsidiaries. A Texas native, Bobby’s leadership is rooted in resilience and teamwork forged through early personal adversity and years on the football field. Escalera operates like a venture builder, leveraging proprietary data and technology to move fast, partner deeply, and deliver outsized outcomes. Beyond business, he leads the Escalera Foundation, which has raised $20M for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in San Antonio and co-developed the world’s first hotel designed for people with disabilities.
