M. Douglas Dagan is the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & Renewable Energy at Suburban Propane, where he leads the company’s push toward a clean energy future. Reporting to the President and CEO, Mr. Dagan drives strategic acquisitions, partnerships, and investments that reduce emissions and support renewable energy. With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Dagan’s career spans renewable energy, environmental policy, and climate advocacy. His work has included advising governments and organizations, shaping renewable energy projects, and tackling climate challenges with practical solutions. Before Suburban Propane, he worked with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Mr. Dagan holds degrees in chemistry and environmental studies from Middlebury College, a master’s in environmental management from Yale University, and a JD in energy law from Vermont Law School. He serves on multiple industry boards and lives in New Jersey, where he enjoys skiing, theater, and travel.
