Michael Abbott is Accenture’s Banking and Capital Markets industry group lead who covers how technology is transforming the banking and payments landscape. Before joining Accenture, he was the founder and CEO of Softcard, which was acquired by Google in 2015 and is now the mobile wallet platform for Google Pay. Prior to Softcard, Michael spent a decade building GE Capital’s consumer finance business into the dominate embedded finance player in North America. He has a BS in mathematics, a BS and MS in electrical engineering and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
