Spanning over 30 years in the banking industry, my career has been a blend of continuous learning, impactful leadership, and a commitment to fostering community growth. Holding graduate degrees from the University of St. Thomas and the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking, I have significantly contributed to the financial sector, most recently in my role as the Vice Chair and President of Village Bank, where my focus was on empowering economic stability and community development. In my expertise across financial services, relationship management, and business development, I’ve always held a core belief: finance is about empowering people and realizing dreams. This philosophy has been pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and designing financial solutions that positively impact individuals and communities. As a leader, I’ve been dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion, aiming to reshape the future of community banking with ethical and inclusive practices. My role on the Federal Reserve Bank’s Community Depository Institution Advisory Council allows me to influence national banking policies, applying my extensive experience to broader economic contexts. Additionally, as an ongoing Bank Board of Director, I continue to stay engaged with the evolving dynamics of the financial sector. As a contributing member of the Forbes Business Council, I share insights and thought leadership, contributing to discussions that shape the landscape of business and entrepreneurship. This platform enables me to reach a wider audience, sharing my expertise and experiences with a global network of professionals and leaders. My involvement extends to being a board member at the Young Presidents Organization, where I leverage my knowledge to mentor and guide young business leaders. This role reflects my commitment to nurturing the potential and leadership skills of the next generation. Guided by the Fruit of the Spirit, my journey is marked by faith, perseverance, and a deep-seated desire to make a meaningful difference. As I transition, my aim is to enlighten and empower individuals, especially women and young people, with financial literacy for their betterment and societal good. I look forward to connecting with fellow lifelong learners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and like-minded individuals. Together, let’s redefine financial literacy and social responsibility for a better and more inclusive future.
