rofessor Yu Xiong FAcSS serves as Chair Professor of Business Analytics at Surrey Business School and director of Academy for Blockchain and Metaverse Application at the University of Surrey. With a background in computer science and business, he works across academic research, entrepreneurship, and policy advisory roles, focusing on emerging technologies and sustainable innovation. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded and chairs Keath.AI, an EdTech company applying AI to education data, which has been recognized at the Times Higher Education Digital University Awards. He also contributes to OxValue.AI, a University of Oxford social science spinout, and serves as co-founder and Chief Scientist at Endless Genesis Cloud, developing blockchain solutions for carbon accountability. In policy work, Professor Yu Xiong chaired the Advisory Board for the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Metaverse and Web 3.0, helping shape reports on emerging technologies. At Surrey, he directs the Surrey Academy for Blockchain and Metaverse Applications, advancing research in these fields. Over two decades, he has built networks supporting UK-China innovation initiatives. This cross-cultural perspective, combined with technical and business expertise, allows him to bridge technological developments with practical applications. Elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, his work has gained recognition in multiple forums. In 2012, he carried the London Olympic Torch, and later received the Global Gandhi Award at the UK Parliament for contributions to research, innovation, and sustainable development.
