Hersh Shefrin analyzes how psychology impacts the way the financial world works. He is the Mario L. Belotti Professor of Finance at Santa Clara University. Shefrin received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics. Among his books are Beyond Greed and Fear, A Behavioral Approach to Asset Pricing, Behavioral Corporate Finance, Behavioral Risk Management, and The Behavioral Economics and Politics of Global Warming. He has been recognized as a finance star by CFO magazine and a top economic theorist to have influenced empirical work by American Economic Review.
