As Executive Vice President in SINTEF, Norway’s largest research institute, I oversee world-leading research into technology-based solutions that will mitigate the worst impacts of climate change. Since 2017 I have been the President of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA), which counts more than 50,000 energy research professionals in its network. Since May 2024 Vice president of EERA. Progress in energy conversion technologies, distribution and use is essential for us to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
