Lechi Zhang, Angel Investor, FinTech, and SME finance expert, collaborates with entrepreneurs and investors to invest in, launch, and grow fintech ventures, with a focus on underserved communities in North America and emerging markets. Lechi began his career as a consultant at an investment bank, conducting due diligence for hedge funds. He later transitioned to private equity and venture capital, enhancing his expertise in investment research. During his 7 years with the World Bank Group, he contributed to new topics for the well-known Doing Business Report team and was a core founding staff member at the G20 SME Finance Forum. A frequent speaker, Lechi has presented at events like the Singapore FinTech Festival and contributed to MSN, The Edge Malaysia, and Caijing. He has judged for the Stevie Awards, Globee Awards, and was invited to the special program at the Collision tech conference. Lechi graduated with honors from Cornell University and earned a private markets certificate from the University of Oxford.
