Carlos M. Meléndez is VP of Puerto Rico Operations for Vantor, a world-leading spatial intelligence firm. The company operates the most advanced commercial Earth observation satellite constellation on orbit, and uses the power of very high-resolution satellite imagery, AI and software to deliver mission success for government, defense and commercial clients. Based in Vantor's Puerto Rico office, Carlos leads the Puerto Rico team in producing new 3D terrain analytics tools, machine learning training data sets, automated object detection models and custom software solutions. Before Vantor, Carlos was cofounder and COO of Wovenware for more than 25 years, a company acquired by Maxar Intelligence (now known as Vantor) in 2022. Mr. Meléndez holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico. He also is past Chairman and current member of the Board of ConPRmetidos a non-profit organization working for social and economic development of Puerto Rican communities. He regularly shares his thought leadership and insights in numerous industry articles and at technology and entrepreneurial industry conferences.
