Dr. R. Erdem Erkul is a technology entrepreneur, who has achieved remarkable work in the field of technology with distinct and strong experiences. Mr. Erkul is also one of the founders of Cerebrum Tech. During the high school and university years, Mr. Erkul worked as a content creator at Türkport, one of Türkiye’s first internet portals. In the following years, he continued his career in different big companies. Erdem Erkul had taken charge in different positions in Microsoft Türkiye and MEA Region. In addition, Mr. Erkul had worked as a director and company spokesperson at Samsung between 2014-2018. Moreover, in these years, he had taken part in different R&D and innovation projects and tasks between South Korea and Türkiye. Erkul had an important role in establishing innovation and R&D centers in Türkiye and MEA. R. Erdem Erkul is actively working in distinct and important positions today. Mr. Erkul is a board member of Türkiye Bilişim Vakfı (TBV - Türkiye Informatics Foundation) and Global Girişimcilik Network (GEN Türkiye - Global Entrepreneurship Network). Erdem Erkul is also vice president of Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS). Furthermore, he also serves as the chairperson of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) Digital Technologies Business Council. Dr. R. Erdem Erkul stands out in the studies on e-government, e-participation, smart cities, artificial intelligence, metaverse, new generation technologies, WEB 3.0 and entrepreneurship, and he is known as a pioneer in these fields. Erkul, who already has many presentations, articles and statements on these subjects, has published many articles on the Harvard Business Review (HBR). Mr. Erkul has been involved in many global social responsibility projects since the high school years, and he has important leading roles in these projects. Moreover, Mr. Erkul has national and international diplomas in the fields of public administration innovation, entrepreneurship and business from Harvard, LSE , Ankara University , Hacettepe University and Sivas. Erkul was appointed as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea in Sivas- Türkiye Besides his achievements and successful work and entrepreneur life, he is interested in different hobbies in his private life, and he plays qopuz (kopuz) and baglama (bağlama) which are traditional Turkish instruments.
