Susana Sierra is a Chilean businesswoman and entrepreneur, recognized in the compliance industry for helping companies document their compliance program to ensure integrity, good practices, transparency and keeping corruption at bay. Her expertise includes the development of organizational culture and the implementation and promotion of good practices within companies. Ms. Sierra, who resides in Miami, is the CEO of BH Compliance, a global company that gathers real-time evidence about a compliance program's performance and uses Blockchain to generate immutable ledgers that protect companies against corruption probes for years to come. Through the use of Blockchain, the firm generates and preserves evidence of companies’ compliance with local and international laws and identifies risky practices that jeopardize a company’s integrity, exposing them to loss, liability or embarrassment. Ms. Sierra co-founded BH Compliance 10 years ago in Chile to work with multinationals operating in Latin America and other high-risk corruption regions. BH Compliance provides services to more than 150 global business groups which have operations, subsidiaries, and headquarters in Latin America. Some of her clients committed to keeping corruption at bay include Walmart, MetLife, GM Financial, and Telefonica in Latin America. Ms. Sierra was recognized as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum, "Young Entrepreneur 2015", awarded by Mujeres Empresarias; 100 Women Leaders 2016", an initiative of Revista Sábado de El Mercurio and the Leadership Department of the Adolfo Ibáñez University Business School; "Young Influencer 2017", given by Diario Financiero; and "Women in Compliance Awards 2018" award given by C5. Ms. Sierra serves on the Board of Directors of the Chilean American Chamber of Commerce and as President of the Chilean Chapter of Transparency International NGO. From 2017 to 2022, she served on the board of Correos de Chile SA, putting into practice her knowledge of Corporate Governance and enhancing the importance of integrity. She created and co-directed the compliance diploma courses at the Catholic University of Chile and lectures at various universities worldwide. Ms. Sierra is co-author of Corrupción a la carta, a book that describes common bad practices in LatAm companies with more than thirty interviewees, including former LatAm presidents Eduardo Frei, Ricardo Lagos, Michelle Bachelet and Sebastián Piñera.
