Josh Strange is the founder and President of Good Life Financial Advisors of NOVA. Josh loves helping people who have spent their lives serving others. He specializes in working with active and retired government employees, contractors, and military personnel through every stage of life. Through his unique N.G.P.S process he has helped hundreds of people make better sense of their finances and put in place plans to help them feel more confident about their finances. Josh is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as an Intelligence Analyst. While on active duty in Europe, he graduated from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Many of the principles Josh utilizes while working with clients were learned during his time in the military. Prior to founding Good Life Financial Advisors of NOVA, Josh was a financial advisor at two major regional banks and was a member of the advisory council at both banks. This unique perspective led Josh to explore opportunities outside of the bank-owned brokerage world, and eventually led him to the independent channel, partnering with LPL Financial. Josh firmly believes that independence offers clients the best platform from which to choose investments and puts control back where it belongs—in the hands of the advisor and client. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ credential, underscoring his commitment to clients’ wellbeing. Grounded in a deep commitment to serving others, Josh has an innate ability to help clients understand what they want in life and how to pursue it. Through his years of service in the financial industry, Josh has gained a reputation for doing what’s right for clients. Josh has gained the trust of his community as a financial guide. He has been featured on The Motley Fool Answers Podcast, and quoted in USA Today. As a local specialist in financial planning, Josh is frequently invited to speak on financial matters for community groups. Josh lives in Lake Ridge, Virginia with his wife Theresa and his sons, Nathaniel, David and Caleb. He is an active member of Burke Community Church and belongs to the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council. He also volunteers with Challenger League Baseball, an organization that helps youth with special needs enjoy the game of baseball. He enjoys traveling with his wife and exploring the outdoors of Virginia.
