David Birch is an author, advisor and commentator on digital financial services. He is a respected thought leader at the intersection of digital money and digital identity and has written for publications ranging from The Financial Times to Wired magazine (who labelled him one of their global top 15 favourite sources of business information). His most recent book, “Money in the Metaverse” (2024) looks at next generation commerce. Currently writing about AI and the future of retail financial services, Birch graduated with a degree in Physics and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Commerce in London.
