Brevard Nelson is a serial entrepreneur, philanthropist, TEDx Speaker, marketer and IT expert with over 25 years of experience balancing Left-brain activities (like Digital solutions, Coding, Fintech) & Right-brain activities (like Music, Dancing, & Storytelling). Brevard Nelson has provided transformative solutions in various industries including financial services, FMCG, retail, and technology, serving many blue-chip regional and international businesses and winning multiple awards in the process. In 2022, Brevard was appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of the Trinidad and Tobago Unit Trust Corporation and continues to share his expertise on various subcommittees. He also serves on other boards of various non-profit organisations focused on helping the next generation. Over the last 3 years, Brevard has been researching, writing about and delivering speeches, presentations and workshops focused on AI, Fintech and Marketing globally and most recently in Chicago, St Louis, Orlando and online. His TEDx Talk was a look into whether Artificial Intelligence vs Human Intelligence is a zero-sum game, and a call to embrace a new world of augmented intelligence. He was also recognized in 2025 as one of the Caribbean’s top entrepreneurs by the Caribbean Business Network in the US. His academic background includes an Executive Education Programme at the Harvard Business School, two Masters Degrees while studying in England and France, an undergraduate degree in Management from the University of the West Indies, as well as Fintech and AI certifications from the Wharton School of business.
