Joe Manok, CFRE, is Vice President for University Advancement at Clark University, cofounder of the Clark Advancement AI Lab, and founder of GlobalPhilanthropy.ai. He has more than 22 years of leadership experience in global fundraising, with senior roles at the American University of Beirut, MIT, and now Clark. His work has spanned transformative campaigns, nine-figure philanthropic commitments, and the integration of technology into Higher Ed operations. A computer scientist by training and a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), Joe completed a leadership fellowship at MIT and earned an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is a recognized expert on the intersection of artificial intelligence and philanthropy, having published, taught, and spoken extensively across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. He serves as lead instructor of the first microcredential course on AI for nonprofits and has presented his work through the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and other international forums. Before joining Clark in 2023, Joe spent eight years in MIT’s Office of Resource Development, where he contributed to the success of the $6.2 billion Campaign for a Better World, most recently serving as senior director of philanthropic partnerships.
