Alireza Rastegar is an inventor, author, and entrepreneur with a rich background in business alliances and business development in the innovation field. Alireza started his career as a head of the young genius network at the National Youth Organization, where he remained from 2000 to 2004. He was elected the executive committee member of the International Federation of Inventors' Associations in 2006. By showing his ability after eight years, he was elected as IFIA president in November 2014 for a four-year term, re-elected in 2018 for an additional four-year term, and re-elected in 2023 for another four-year term. Alireza Rastegar is the president of the International Federation of Inventors' Associations, a non-profit organization founded in 1968. IFIA has 185 national association members from 82 countries. He has created many business opportunities for IFIA's members. From 2014 to 2023, he received over $25 million in business opportunities for IFIA members and funding support for innovators worldwide. He has helped to establish many national inventor's associations in countries like Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Canada, Australia, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Sudan, Morocco, Armenia, and Vietnam. Rastegar has also led innovation seminars in nations including The United States, Germany, South Korea, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Turkiye, Croatia, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Kuwait, Qatar, and India. He founded the Silicon Valley International Invention Festival (SVIIF) and has been chairman since 2017. He has established several IFIA cooperations with UN subsidiary organizations, including WIPO, UNIDO, and UNCTAD. Under his leadership, IFIA partnered with Word Intellectual Property Organization in important WIPO projects such as WIPO Green Innovation, WIPO – Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and WIPO Inventor Assistant Program (IAP). He served as the chairman of the IFIA jury board for the select winner of the WIPO Medal for Best Patent in the framework of the IAP in 2019. In 2020, He became a member of MIT's Solve (an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Solve is a marketplace for social impact innovation. Through open innovation Challenges, Solve finds tech-based social entrepreneurs all around the world.) In 2022, HKTDC (Hong Kong Trade Development Council) selected him as an honorary advisor of BIPASIA (Business of IP Asia Forum).
