Patrick Gleason, a Forbes contributor since 2014, is vice president of state affairs at Americans for Tax Reform, a Washington, D.C.-based advocacy and policy research organization founded in 1985 at the request of President Ronald Reagan. Gleason, who also serves as senior fellow at the Beacon Center, a Nashville-based think tank, has worked in and covered state legislatures for nearly two decades.
