Bill Flederbach is the President and CEO of ClimeCo, a global leader in sustainability and decarbonization solutions. With over 30 years of experience in environmental and carbon markets, Bill has dedicated his career to advancing scalable greenhouse gas reduction efforts and pioneering market-based solutions to address climate challenges. Under his leadership, ClimeCo has become a trusted partner for businesses, governments, and environmental advocates worldwide. Since founding ClimeCo in 2009 and assuming full ownership in 2012, Bill has guided the company’s evolution from a focus on nitrous oxide (N₂O) abatement to a multifaceted provider of sustainability solutions. ClimeCo has achieved significant milestones under his direction, including reducing over 40 million tonnes of CO₂e emissions globally and expanding operations across North America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. The company is recognized for its technical expertise in developing a diverse portfolio of environmental credits and providing tailored sustainability solutions that enhance clients’ business resilience and bottom line. Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and dogs. He can often be found hiking, snowshoeing, skiing (both cross-country and downhill), golfing, flying, boating, or motorcycle riding. He also cherishes his international family of Rotary Exchange students, including “kids” from France, Turkey, Slovakia, and beyond.
