Andrew has over three decades of experience in the strategic communications advisory field. He has specific expertise in creating communications strategies focused on difficult situations, including product recalls, financial/regulatory issues, crisis preparation and management, and public affairs efforts overseeing and implementing crisis preparation, public affairs efforts, and complex litigation. Andrew founded KARV thirteen years ago, after spending 15 years at Strategy XXI Group and Kreab, including as Managing Partner. Since is inception, KARV has been As a political appointee in the Clinton Administration in 1993, he was the Communications Director for the US Information Agency, the White House communications representative for coordination of media during the 1994 GATT signing in Morocco; Deputy Spokesman for the US Delegation to the United Nations World Conference on Human Rights; and National Security Council media representative in Haiti. In total, he worked on more than two dozen overseas trips of President Clinton and Vice President Gore, including APEC and G-7 Summit Meetings, and worked with more than a dozen federal agencies and cabinet officials. He was a founder of Volunteers for Democracy and worked in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia and Ukraine during their transitions to democracy, from 1989-1991.
