JJ Kinahan was most recently the Chicago-based CEO of IG North America, the parent company of market-leading brokerage tastytrade, financial education content network tastylive, tastycrypto, and tastyfx where he led the development and delivery of innovative new offerings for retail investors, including tools for customers to manage their own investments. He began trading over three decades ago as a Chicago Board Options Exchange market maker, and formerly held roles at TD Ameritrade, acquired by Charles Schwab, including Chief Market Strategist and Managing Director of market structure strategy and client advocacy, as well as Managing Director of Trading Platforms. He serves as a member of the CBOE Advisory Board and also as a member of the Arbitration Committee at CBOE, the SIFMA Options Committee, the Board of Directors at NYSE ARCA, and on the Board of Clearlist.
