My mission is to shape the landscape of international justice through strategic dispute resolution. As a globally ranked counsel and independent arbitrator, I represent and advise clients on complex international disputes, with a focus on public international law, including issues related to human rights, international investment arbitration, international commercial arbitration and foreign investor risk management. I worked in big law for over 20 years, culminating in my appointment as global co-chair of international arbitration at Eversheds Sutherland US LLP. I participated in large-scale arbitrations before the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) at The Hague. My experience spans diverse jurisdictions, including in Latin America, the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe, and industries, such as mining, infrastructure, oil and gas, civil engineering, textiles, hospitality and leisure. In 2025, I started my own practice specializing in international law and human rights. I also advise and lead on matters surrounding post-conflict peace negotiations and governance and the investigation and adjudication of war crimes and human rights violations. I am the founder and president of Allusionist Pictures, a production company dedicated to creating thought-provoking films that highlight critical human rights, legal and social justice issues.
