Angelina Villa-Clarke has been a travel journalist for over 30 years and is based in London, UK. She has written for Forbes as a travel contributor for the past eight years. Specialising in new hotel openings and travel trends, she has travelled the world since she was young, having visited some 60+ countries. She graduated from the University of Warwick with a BA Hons in English and European Literature and went on to gain a post-graduate qualification in Print Journalism at the London School of Printing. She started her career off as staff writer on Marie Claire Magazine and then moved on to become features editor for In Britain, the magazine for the British Tourist Authority, covering travel news across the UK. She then moved on to British Airways' High Life Magazine and worked as Deputy Editor, Associate Editor and Acting Editor during 11 years on this title. For the past 14 years, Angelina has been a freelance travel journalist, writing for a wide range of titles, such as the Mail on Sunday newspaper, the Independent, Evening Standard, Conde Nast Traveller, Wanderlust Magazine, City AM Newspaper, Country Life and The Jewish Chronicle, plus many more print and online outlets. She is interested in new places, interesting people, cool design and, above all, authenticity. Her expertise is 'luxury intelligence' – interesting openings that have a story to tell and new destinations. She has lived in Barbados and Venice, Italy, and continues to travel widely.
