Ron Schmelzer is a sought-after expert on AI and data best practices, who writes on applications and uses of AI as well as methods and approaches to apply AI in the real world. His Forbes coverage since 2018 includes popular articles such as AI in Project Management and Should We Be Afraid of AI, and AI applications in fields as diverse as education and fashion. Ron founded AI research, education, and advisory firm Cognilytica, acquired by the Project Management Instute (PMI) in 2024. He co-developed the firm’s Cognitive Project Management for AI (CPMAI) methodology. Ron founded TechBreakfast, a national innovation and technology-focused demo series.
